Getting back to running slowly, trying to take my time and do as few miles at a time as I can. Last night I wasn’t sure if I was going to run today or not. I have 2 weeks until my next half. So I set my alarm and figured that I’d make up my mind in the morning, it was supposed to rain so that was going to be my excuse not to run. But my alarm went off and there was no rain, just fog as thick as pea soup. So I got up, got my gear and headed to Kenosha to meet up with the KRC.
The best part of a Saturday morning run with the KRC is you never know how many propel may or may not be there, today was a pretty big group, lots of members of the club are doing chicago marathon and some are doing lakefront marathon so it was nice to see a big group out. I decide on a low milage run, just 2 miles, no need to push it.
After running we all meet back up at Common Grounds for conversation, coffee and snacks. Today I went for a chocolate milk and a danish, another member of the club bought my stuff, such an awesom and unexpected gesture. Love this group. Liz and I hit up the Harborside Farmers Market after. Perfect morning and way to start a Saturday.
