So today I decided to go for a run, a short, easy run. I choose one of my favorite paths, my company has its own rec center and park. Normally the trail is empty, but my company also has a private school, so there was a cross country meet on part of the path, I ran against the high schoolers so I could see them coming and so they wouldn’t sneak up on me. They were only on one mile of the two mile path.
I felt pretty good during my run, I had to keep slowing down so that was hard. My chiropractor was 100% behind me going for a short run tonight and recommended going for one tomorrow or Saturday too. He told me to stop running if I had pain, my quad felt great so I was pretty happy.
hopefully I’m on my way to being ready for my half in 2 weeks!
Short, easy runs are the best! It makes you realize how reinvigorating running can be. It’s my favorite meditation time
Couldn’t agree more with Erin — especially when you get used to distance. Those short runs have a very unique quality that is pretty awesome.
